About Us

Who We Are

Since 2001, the Imperial Valley Telecommunications Authority (IVTA) has partnered with Imperial County public agencies to bring reliable broadband connectivity to the County. IVTA is the official Public Joint Powers Authority.

Under the administration and management of the Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE), our network spans over 200 miles of fiber optic cables across the County. In a significant stride towards progress, ICOE upgraded IVTA's connection to a 100G connection in 2023, enhancing its speed and capacity to handle more data.

At IVTA, we are unwavering in our commitment to deliver fast, reliable, and secure broadband access to the entire community, including all Imperial County Schools and Public Agencies. We are dedicated to contributing to the growth and development of our community through our services.
