Borderlink
Reliable internet isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity for learning, staying connected with teachers, applying to college, and getting schoolwork done. That’s why the Imperial County Office of Education (ICOE) created BorderLink over 20 years ago to help close the Homework Gap and ensure every student can reach their full potential.
BorderLink is the County’s response to the increasing needs of our schools and students. We are a wireless internet service that gives students and families access to fast, secure connections at home and in the community. Whether you're a parent helping your child stay on track, or a high school or college student balancing assignments, Zoom calls, or applications, BorderLink is here to help you stay online.
We currently serve students, families, and members in:
- Brawley
- Calexico
- Calipatria
- El Centro
- Heber
- Holtville
- Imperial
- Niland
- Seeley
- Westmorland
BorderLink uses LTE (Long Term Evolution) wireless technology—the same kind behind mobile phone networks—to provide strong internet access. It connects with the fiber-optic system already used by Imperial County schools and local government organizations, so students can stay connected even after the school day ends.
